Graziella Seminara has earned a graduation in Arts at the University of Catania and, at the same time, in Piano from the Musical Institute “Vincenzo Bellini” in Catania.

From 1992 to 2002 she was responsible of the Catania office of the Centre for Research on Contemporary Music and was a member of the Editorial Board of “Archivio”, a journal published by the CIMS (Centre for Musical Initiatives in Sicily).

In 2000 she was invited by the Ministry of Cultural Heritage to join the National Committee for the celebration of the bicentenary of Vincenzo Bellini’s birth, in 2001, and she was charged by the Executive Committee to collect autograph and manuscript sources of Bellini’s operas, along with autograph sources concerning Bellini’s letters.

She is a member of the executive board of the Musical Laboratory, founded by the Department “Aglaia” on Greek, Latin and Musical Studies, Faculty of Arts, University of Palermo.

She is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Bellini Foundation in Catania and Director of the Research Center on Bellinian Studies, both based at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Catania. Graziella Seminara is currently researcher on Musicology and Music history at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Catania.
